WASHINGTON - With a 3-0 record at home this season, the American University lacrosse team has a chance to maintain its command at the Jacobs Complex in a matchup with Lafayette on Wednesday afternoon. It's the Pride Game for the Eagles, celebrating inclusivity, equality, and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

SERIES HISTORY
- AU is 11-5 against Lafayette all-time, winning the last three matchups and most recently defeating the Leopards 12-5 a year ago on the road. Becca Frank, Reagan Murdoch, and Annabelle Jackson had two goals apiece in the win. The Eagles came back from down 3-0 early, scoring 12 of the game's final 14 goals.
- The Eagles won a thriller 16-15 in the last matchup with the Leopards at home in 2023, outscoring Lafayette 8-2 in the second half to surge to a win.
- The last victory for Lafayette in the series came in 2019, a 15-11 win in Easton.
SCOUTING AMERICAN
- The Eagles are 5-5 overall and off to a 1-2 start in Patriot League play, coming off a 20-3 loss at Holy Cross last Saturday.
- AU fell behind 7-0 in the first quarter, and couldn't slow down Holy Cross's relentless attacking effort. The Crusaders took 37 shots, and put 32 on target.
- The Eagles will look to continue their trend of bouncing back after losses on Wednesday, having yet to lose two games in a row this season.
- American is 3-0 at home this year, most recently defeating Lehigh 17-10 Saturday, March 15 in D.C. The Eagles have been awfully comfortable on home turf, outscoring opponents 48-24 at the Jacobs Complex.
- It was a career-high six-goal performance from Kellie Linehan that lifted the Eagles over Lehigh, along with five goals from Maddy Spratt. Linehan's 24 goals are tied for the team lead with Reagan Murdoch.
- The junior midfield tandem of Linehan and Murdoch has taken up a chunk of AU's offensive production, seeing the pair combine for 48 goals and 12 assists. They've made an impact beyond the attacking half as well, totaling 14 caused turnovers and 30 draw controls. Murdoch is coming up on her 100th career point, currently holding 98 to her name.
- Spratt leads the Eagles in points with 34, pairing 21 goals with 14 assists. The senior captain has also been crucial for AU in gaining possession, sitting at sixth in the Patriot League with 59 draw controls on the season.
- Senior goalkeeper Caleigh Forti is having a standout season, leading Patriot League in saves (102) and sitting in ninth in the NCAA. She recently reached 250 career saves in the win over Lehigh.
SCOUTING LAFAYETTE
- The Leopards are 4-5 overall, but off to an 0-2 start in Patriot League play. They fell to Holy Cross on March 15, then dropped a home game 17-8 to BU this past Saturday.
- Senior midfielder Sophia Spallone leads Lafayette in scoring, netting 16 goals and scoring in every game this season.
- The Leopards average 9.22 goals per game, while putting 18.67 shots on target each contest. Both numbers are ninth in the Patriot League currently.
- Senior goalkeeper Molly Terraciano has started every game for the Leopards, making 69 saves and allowing 12.18 goals per game.
- Lafayette was projected to finish 10th in the Patriot League.
