WASHINGTON - After his impressive performances for American University outdoor track at the Fred Hardy Invitational in Richmond, senior Danny O'Neill has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 17-23. 

O'Neill placed second in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a five-second personal record of 9:14.12, moving him up to third all-time in program history. He followed that up later in the day with a PR of over a minute in the seeded 5K, running 14:51.71. 

The Eagles will send a small crew to the Raleigh Relays at NC State on March 27-29, while the rest of the team prepares for the George Mason Ebanks Invitational on April 4-5.
