Inside The Series
  • Boston leads the all-time series 13-9 over American. American leads 4-1 in the last five matchups between the two teams.
  • During the regular season, the two programs faced off in Boston (Sep. 19), and AU walked away with a 2-0 victory off a goal apiece from Jordan Reicher and Agustina Roffo. Lotti Süme earned two assists, and goalkeeper Pauline Gineste matched her career high of eight saves for the clean sheet.
Scouting the Eagles
  • American wrapped up the 2025 regular season with a 12-5 overall record and a perfect, 6-0 mark in the Patriot League. The squad enters the tournament on a five game win streak.
  • The Eagles had a markedly successful season, taking on a daunting schedule of intense competition and going 7-0 on the road. They also went on their longest win streak, six games in a row, since 2021.
  • AU went undefeated in the Patriot League with two, 2-nil shutouts against Boston and Colgate. They beat the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds Lafayette and Bucknell with 3-1 and 3-2 victories, respectively.
  • Last season, the Eagles went 11-7 overall and were 6-0 in conference play. A 2-1 loss to Lafayette in overtime in the Patriot League Championship game finished their season.
  • Reicher and Roffo led the team this year with 13 and eight goals respectively. Emilia Winkler led in assists with nine and averaged over 56 minutes per contest. The Eagles have outscored opponents 47-19 this season and recorded a +1.60-scoring margin.
Scouting the Terriers
  • Boston finished the regular season 6-10 overall and 3-3 in the Patriot League. The Terriers' three conference losses were to tournament-bound competitors, getting shutout by all three, losing 0-4 at Bucknell, 0-2 at American, and 0-1 versus Lafayette.
  • The Terriers placed three players on the All-League teams. Martu Coulo and O'Brien were named to the All-Patriot League First Team while Delfi Coulo earned second-team honors.
  • O'Brien finished second in the league for goals scored, contributing 12 of the team's 29 goals. She was also fifth in the league in assists (7) for a league-leading 31 points from the regular season.
  • Martu Coulo becomes just the fourth Terrier to earn All-PL honors in four seasons. For O'Brien is her first time earning a spot on an All-PL team, and Delfi Coulo became the first Terrier freshman to make an All-Patriot League team since her sister was named to the second team in 2022.
  • Martu Coulo finished her senior season as the anchor of the midfield, starting all 16 games for BU and scoring a goal in the first game of the season. She played a key part in helping the Terriers transition from defense to offense down the left side.
Major Awards
  • American picked up four of the six Patriot League major awards this year and placed five on the All-League teams. On top of the coaching staff earning PL Coaching Staff of the Year, junior Jordan Reicher, graduate student Agustina Roffo, and freshman Lotti Süme were voted as the Offensive Player, Midfielder, and Rookie of the Year.
  • Reicher posed a threat in the circle all season long. The striker finished the regular season leading the Eagles and the league in goals (13) and in game-winning goals (4). She was third in the league in shots on goal (33) and in points (27)
  • Named Preseason Midfielder of the Year, Roffo both met and surpassed expectations set for her earlier in the year. The graduate student winger capped the regular season as second on the team in goals scored (8) and points (18). In the PL she is seventh in goals, ninth in points, and 10th in game winning goals (2).
  • Süme, a freshman defender, finished the regular season with three goals and five assists for 11 points. Süme, a starter in all 17 Eagles' games this season, was the only AU player on the roster to have played every minute of every game. She earned her first collegiate goal against Towson (Oct. 8). She was crucial to both penalty corner units, and her lockdown defense helped the back line to tally five clean sheets this season.
  • The trio of head coach Steve Jennings, associate head coach Kristin Matula, and assistant coach Weslee Littlefield led the Eagles to a 12-5 regular season and another 6-0 conference season on the way to the Eagles' third straight PL regular season title. The Eagles recorded a +1.60-scoring margin to lead the league and rank 15th in NCAA DI, while holding a 1.09 GAA to rank 11th in the nation.
  • Reicher and Roffo, along with junior midfielder Emilia Winkler were named to the All-League first team and Süme, joined by junior midfielder Sophie Willemse, was named to the All-League second team.
  • Reicher, Roffo, and Willemse were all named to the League's All-Academic team as well.
