FAIRFAX, Va. - Two individual victories, a school record, and a runner-up relay finish highlighted an impressive showing for American University swimming & diving on the third day of the George Mason Patriot Invitational. Sophomore

Isabel McGovern were both first-place finishers for AU, and both were part of the second-place relay team.
Notable Results
- Crosby set a school and meet record in winning the women's 100 back with a time of 53.50, improving on her PR from before today by well over a second. The school record is her first individually, and she is also a part of two relay records.
- McGovern was just shy of her own PR in winning the 100 fly, earning her first-ever Patriot Invitational victory.
- Crosby and McGovern teamed up with sophomores Grace Gilbert and Marin Priddy for a second-place finish in the women's 400 medley relay. Their time of 3:44.41 is third-best all-time at AU.
- Three other Eagles advanced to finals in the women's 100 fly as well, and all improved their times from prelims to finals. Freshman Madison Stover placed 18th overall in 57.93, junior Jordan Carpentieri was 21st in 58.36, and senior Gabby Kaczorowski placed 24th in 58.64.
- Sophomore Claire Mosher placed 14th in the finals of the 400 IM with a time of 4:31.74 that moves her from 16th to 14th all-time at American. Sophomore Brooke Vos was a finalist as well, finishing 19th in 4:34.26.
- In the men's 400 IM, sophomore Luke Martens placed 12th in both prelims and finals, improving his time to 4:03.09 in the finals.
- Gilbert and freshman Lucy Penna were both finalists in the women's 200 free, placing 21st and 22nd, respectively.
- Junior Lucas Standridge earned a spot in the men's 200 free finals, placing 24th, as did freshman Van Paul in the 100 breaststroke.
- Another top 10 finish came from Priddy in the women's 100 breaststroke as she placed sixth in 1:03.12, a new PR that moves her up to third all-time at AU. Carpentieri placed 13th in the same event in 1:05.26, a PR that improves on her own 10th-place all-time on AU's list. Senior Grace Netz placed 17th, and junior Marley Reese was 21st.
- Sophomore Ryan Pursley was just shy of his PR in the men's 100 back, but placed 14th overall in 51.27. Freshman Matias Garcia was 18th, junior Connor Florence placed 19th, and junior Henry Bysshe was 23rd.
