A three time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member and a two-time IWLCA Honor Roll Member, de Guzman graduated from American in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies along with a minor in psychology.

De Guzman continues to pursue her studies at American University, now working toward a master’s degree in strategic communications.

Being a part of the inaugural Philippines women’s lacrosse team and making history is something I will cherish forever. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey with a sport that has given me so much while playing for something bigger than myself. There is no greater honor than wearing the Philippines across my chest, striving to make my family and country proud with a group of strong, inspirational women who understand my experiences. Leaving Australia with a ticket to the World Games and a bronze medal was so special, and I can’t wait for Japan in 2026!

We are incredibly proud of Lizzie and thrilled to see an alumna so deeply involved in the international game. This fall, we had the privilege of scrimmaging against the Philippines National Team—while it was bittersweet to face Lizzie on the field, it was an unforgettable experience for her former teammates. She’s also setting high standards for our current team, inspiring them to aim for the next level. We can’t wait to continue watching Lizzie’s growth with the Philippines program, and we’re excited to cheer her on as she competes this summer in Japan at the World Lacrosse Women's Championship.
