BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second time this season, graduate student
Bryn Underwood of American University field hockey has been tabbed as the Patriot League's Goalkeeper of the Week. Underwood earned the award after the Eagles posted shutout victories over both Lafayette and Penn.
Underwood played in every minute of both contests for American, making five saves in each contest. She kept Lafayette out of the cage for nearly 72 minutes in a double-overtime victory in the Eagles' Patriot League opener on Sept. 27, and made five more saves in AU's 1-0 victory at Penn on Sept. 29. The two shutout wins were the third and fourth of the season for Underwood.
