WASHINGTON - For a second time in her freshman campaign, Lorelei Bangit of American University women's track has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week. Bangit is coming off yet another school-record performance, this time at the Eagles' first outdoor meet of the season in Richmond, Va.

Bangit went 25.04 for a new school record in the 200 meter at Richmond's Fred Hardy Invitational, taking third place in the event. She was also part of the women's 4x400 meter relay team that finished in 4:09.83 which is th seventh-fastest time in school history. Bangit currently owns three school records for American—two indoors and one outdoors.

Next up for the track teams are the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina from March 28-30.
