WASHINGTON - With a dramatic goal in the final seconds of American University field hockey's game against Colgate, senior Federica Turina Dellamaggiore won the Patriot League contest for the Eagles and has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 30-Oct. 6.

Turina Dellamaggiore's last-grasp, backhanded shot toward the goal with two seconds on the clock clinched the 3-2 victory and kept AU undefeated in PL play at 2-0. It was her third goal of the season and first in conferece play.

The Eagles are back in action at home on Friday, Oct. 11, taking on Boston University at 2 p.m.
