- Junior goalkeeper Pauline Gineste saw her first start for American and played the entire contest, making two saves in the process.
- The game looked like it would go into overtime, with a 2-2 tie as the fourth was dwindling down. With only 15 seconds left, Olivia Morraye sent a long ball up the field, where it was kicked by the Colgate goalkeeper into the path of Federica Turina Dellamaggiore who sent a backhanded shot through two defenders and the goalie for a win with 2 seconds left in play.
- This is Turina Dellamaggiore's third goal of the season and first of conference play.
What To Know About Boston U.
- For the Terriers, the contest at Jacobs will be their 11th of the season and fourth in conference play. Boston U. played most recently against cross-town rival, No. 9 Harvard, losing 2-1.
- BU started off with a strong defensive first half, going scoreless in the first two quarters of the game.
- The Terriers remained scoreless through the third as well. It was in the 53rd minute that the team finally used a flurry to get a shot into the cage.
- Junior Natalie Epperson scored her fourth goal of the season with 7:42 to play but the Boston Terriers, recording five shots in the last quarter alone, were unable to find a late equalizer.
- Graduate student Kate Thomason had a nine-save performance for the Terriers, improving her season save percentage to .736.
