Esma Sipahi has been named the Patriot League's Player of the Week. It's the first such honor for Sipahi, who was the League's Setter of the Year in 2023 as well as an All-PL First Team selection.
In wins over Lehigh and Army, Sipahi averaged 11.38 assists per set along with 3.13 digs per set. She came within three kills of a triple-double in a 3-1 win vs. Army with 46 assists, 14 digs and seven kills, hitting .353 for the match. She also posted a double-double at Lehigh with 45 assists and 11 digs. In that match, Sipahi recorded three kills on seven attempts with zero errors, hitting .429.
The Eagles will play just one match this week, heading to Army for a 6 p.m. contest on Saturday, Oct. 19.
