COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – American University volleyball's
Prinzez Zeck has been invited to the U.S. Women's National Team Collegiate Training at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center from Feb.19-22. The junior middle blocker is one of just 62 student-athletes from 29 NCAA Division I universities to be selected to train and compete while being assessed by Women's National Team staff over the three-day training period.
The Women's National Team Collegiate Training (WNTCT) is a development opportunity for collegiate athletes to receive consideration for selection to both the Women's National Team and its NCAA Elite Athlete List, as well as the National Team Development Program's (NTDP) age-group national teams. This invitation-only program serves as the only training opportunity run by the WNT staff for women's collegiate athletes ahead of the summer international season.
Zeck earns the recognition from USA volleyball after an outstanding 2025 campaign for AU, emerging as one of the most dangerous hitters in the Patriot League and leading AU to a conference title. She swung .409 on 197 kills, adding 98 blocks to score 263.5 points. In the Patriot League championship game against Army, Zeck hit a perfect .1000 on 11 kills to set a new tournament record and help American to a .529 clip as a team. A former walk-on, 2025 was Zeck's first full season collegiate season after joining the team in November of her sophomore year.
Women's National Team head coach Erik Sullivan will lead the training alongside assistant coach Brandon Taliaferro. The staff also includes Women's National Team strength coach Shannon Boone, athletic trainer Kara Kessans, and performance analyst Nate Ngo.
"The WNTCT represents an exciting step forward for USA Volleyball, uniting the top athletes across age groups in one competitive setting," Sullivan said. "We're fired up to host this evaluation at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs as it allows us to assess talent, culture and potential at the highest level."
In addition to on-court training, athletes will participate in professional volleyball presentations from Athletes Unlimited, Major League Volleyball, and League One Volleyball, providing insight into professional pathways available following their collegiate careers.
The Women's National Team Collegiate Training reflects USA Volleyball's commitment to strengthening the athlete pipeline and aligning the collegiate and professional landscapes with the senior national team program.
