Field Hockey's Megan Hoffman Named Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week

WASHINGTON - She had a hand in all three goals for American University field hockey in the Eagles' 3-1 Patriot League win over Lafayette, and for her efforts, graduate student Megan Hoffman has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 18-24.

Hoffman tied up the game for American after the Leopards had taken a 1-0 lead, notching her second goal of the season early in the second quarter of the contest. She later earned two assists, one from each of teammate Charllene Boshoff's goals. Hoffman now trails only Boshoff in points for the Eagles, with nine total from five assists and two goals.

On Sunday, Oct. 1, the Eagles will be back on the road to take on No. 20 Delaware in Newark at 1 p.m.
