Dance Team Places Fifth in Jazz Division I at College Nationals in Daytona Beach

WASHINGTON - Following an outstanding performance in the finals of Jazz Division I on April 7, the American University Dance Team placed fifth overall at the 2023 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) & National Dance Alliance (NDA) College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla. It was the first top five finish for the Eagles in seven years.

The team learned their Nationals routine in October and put in countless hours perfecting it not just during regular practice hours, but also over Winter Break, Spring Break, 6 a.m. practices, and more. It wasn't always easy, but they never gave up. So to see all of their hard work pay off with a top five finish and a score of 93 out of 100 is a coach's dream scenario! I couldn't be prouder of them!
