WASHINGTON - Sixty-one honors were bestowed at the 2023 AU Athletics Academic Awards Reception on Wednesday, March 22. The event was held in Bender Arena's Kettler-Palmer Lounge (KPL), and hosted by the Student-Athlete Support Program (SASP). 

Remarks were given by Assistant Director/SASP Erin Saunders, Associate Director of Athletics for Student-Athlete Well-Being Katie Benoit, Dean of Undergraduate Education Jessica Waters, and the three winners of the Top Senior Student-Athlete Award. The three recipients were Kyle Silbert, Ella Thompson and Kayla Winters, all from swimming & diving. All three gave inspired speeches commemorating their journeys at AU and offering thoughts and advice to their peers.
