Emilia Winkler was named Rookie of the Week for her efforts against Lehigh and Drexel over the weekend. This is the second time this season Winkler has been awarded this honor. Winkler's performance also has her earning
Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week honors for American.
In the contest against Lehigh, Winkler earned an assist on the Eagles' first goal to draw the teams level at 1-all. Once the teams went to overtime the first year was able to capitalize on a penalty corner and send the ball in from a seemingly impossible angle through two defenders and the Lehigh keeper to win the game. As a result, the Eagles are now 4-0 in the Patriot League.
Up next, the Eagles are coming home to celebrate Senior Day as well as Alumni Day on Saturday, October 21 against Holy Cross at noon. The Alumni celebration will also commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Eagles' first Patriot League Championship as well as the 10th anniversary of the 2013 Championship.
