BETHLEHEM, Pa. - For the fourth time in their career, American University track junior Russell has earned a spot on the Patriot League All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Voting for the Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Men's and Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Academic All-Patriot League Teams are conducted by the league's men's and women's track & field sports information directors who cannot vote for their own student-athletes.

Sullivan, a philosophy and political science major with a cumulative GPA of 3.95, also earned an Academic All-League honor after the indoor season to go with the two from their sophomore cross country and outdoor track seasons. The Pleasanton, Calif., native earned new personal records in all four of their 5000-meter runs this season, including a 14:28.59 finish for eighth at the Patriot League Championships two weeks ago before taking 11th at the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Saturday in 14:25.09. 

Sullivan will enter their senior season ranked sixth in program history for the outdoor 10,000m run, and is less than 10 seconds away from adding their name to both the indoor and outdoor 5k lists.
