WASHINGTON – After ending the season on a six-game goal streak, David Coly has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region Second Team.
 
Coly finished the season with seven goals and 14 points to lead the Patriot League in both categories. He averaged 0.78 goals/game to lead the conference and rank ninth in the nation.
 
Prior to Coly's incredible scoring streak, only three Eagles since 2001 had even scored a goal in three straight games (Joel Hart in 2015, Alassane Kane in 2012, and Garth Juckem in 2004).
 
The recognition marks the first time an Eagle has been named to an All-Region team since Panos Nahkid (First Team) and Dale Ludwig (Second Team) were part of the NSCAA All-Northeast Region team in 2016.
 
In addition to being named All-Region, Coly was previously named Second Team All-Patriot League and the Patriot League Tournament MVP.
 
AU finished the spring 2021 season with a 4-2-3 record. The Eagles ended their season in the NCAA Second Round after winning the Patriot League title for the first time since 2004 and advancing in the NCAA Tournament for the eighth straight appearance.
