BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Seventeen Patriot League basketball games will be televised on CBS Sports Network during the 2020-21 season, including both the men's and women's basketball championship games on Sunday, March 14. One of the CBS Sports Network games will take place at Bender Arena between AU men's basketball and Bucknell at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14.
The meeting between the Eagles and the Bison will be the second of that weekend, following a contest in Lewisburg, Pa. the day prior. Bucknell finished with a 2-1 lead vs. American in 2019-20. Connor Nelson drained a three-pointer at the buzzer for a 61-60 AU win at home on Jan. 15, but the Bison answered with a 72-68 win on their home court in February. On March 5, seventh-seeded Bucknell upset second-seeded AU in Washington, 64-59. All-time, Bucknell holds a 44-24 lead vs. AU.
The Patriot League Men's Basketball Championship Game will be televised on CBS Sports Network for the 10th consecutive season on Sunday, March 14 at noon. The Patriot League Women's Basketball Championship is set to be aired for the 12th-straight at 4 p.m. CBS Sports Network will also carry both men's basketball tournament semifinal matchups on Wednesday, March 10.
League play will be contingent on the League and its member institutions being able to conduct competition in ways that protect the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, staffs and their communities.
