ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Facing strong competition in the Patriot League, the American University men's and women's swim and dive teams came away with just one team win but some strong individual performances.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Liam Riebling stole the show for AU, earning a win and two runner-up finishes.
- Riebling won the 100 butterfly in 49.88, a career-best time that also ranks as the seventh-best time in program history in that event.
- Right behind Riebling in the 100 fly was sophomore Yannick Bohbot-Dridi in second place with a time of 52.36.
- In the 200 butterfly, Riebling placed second in 1:52.80.
- He later earned his second runner-up finish in the 200 individual medley, posting a time of 1:59.34.
- On the 1-meter board, Christian Hernandez took third for the men's team with a score of 150.55.Â
- As a team, the women defeated Lafayette 160-129.
- The Eagles fell to the other teams in the overall scoring, with the men losing vs. Navy, Bucknell and Lafayette and the women falling to Bucknell and Navy.
