WASHINGTON - Both Ellie Kight and Lily Koenig won two events for the American University swimming and diving team in a home dual meet against Loyola (Md.) on Saturday afternoon at Frailey Pool. Overall, the Eagles fell to the Greyhounds on both the men's and women's sides.

MEET NOTES

• Kight picked up her wins in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. The 200 free was an AU sweep on the women's side, with Kight followed in second place by Natalie Hamlet and in third by Ryan Jolley.
• Backstroke specialist Koenig won both the 100 back and 200 back for the Eagles. Teammate Abby Longstaff was close behind to take second in the 100 back, trailing Koenig by just .04 seconds.
• Alex Feys placed second for the women in the 200 butterfly, and Eleanor Felton was second in the 50 freestyle.
• The foursome of Felton, Longstaff, Alex Brosvik and Ellen Johnson won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:38.01.
• Men's diver Connor Chidsey took second place on the 1-meter with a personal-best score of 228.75, which ranks sixth on the program's all-time list. 
• Freshman Jonathan Quick picked up a win for the AU men in the 200 freestyle in 1:44.24. He also earned a second-place finish in the 100 fly.
• The men's team got another win from Liam Riebling in the 200 butterfly, as he edged out the nearest Loyola competitor by one tenth of a second. Riebling came in second in the 200 individual medley.

• The Eagles will be back at home for another dual meet against Georgetown on Friday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m. AU is celebrating Senior Day and will honor its six seniors - Alex Brosvik, Emily Gill, Ellen Johnson, Ryan Jolley, Connor Chidsey and Garrett Sooter.
