@AU_SwimDive Heads to Mason on Saturday

FAIRFAX, Va.– The American University swimming and diving team continues its spring-semester schedule on Saturday when it competes at George Mason in a quadrangular meet including Army West Point and Old Dominion.

The start of the meet has been moved up to 11 a.m., with the threat of winter weather hitting the area early Saturday.

MEET NOTES

• American's first competitive meet of the spring was last weekend at Georgetown with George Washington. The Eagles dropped dual-meet decisions to the Hoyas and Colonials.

• The Eagles added heavy training regimens just after the holidays when they went on their annual Winter Training trip to Venice, Fla. The Eagles continue to add yardage to their training, as they are just over a month away from the Patriot League Championships (Feb. 20-23).

• Senior Scott Callander had the top individual finish for the Eagles last weekend, winning the men's 100-yard butterfly (51.30). He also had a sixth in the 200 fly and a seventh in the 100 freestyle.

• Sophomore transfer Kyra Manson had the best individual finish for the AU women, placing third in the 100 fly at 58.35. She also had a fifth in the 100 free.
