Box Score WASHINGTON – Ashleigh Thomas converted a loose ball near the right post with 15 minutes left to break a tie and lift 20th-ranked Old Dominion to a 2-1 victory over American in a non-conference field hockey match Sunday at Jacobs Field.

Natalie Konerth converted a penalty stroke with 22:55 remaining in the game to pull American even. It was her first goal of the season and the first penalty shot of the season for the Eagles.
Erin Huffman converted a penalty corner five minutes into the second half to give the Monarchs the lead. She converted an assist by Chrissy Horn.
American held a 10-7 edge in shots, forcing ODU goalkeeper Kealsie Robles to make four saves.
