Box Score LEWISBURG, Pa. – Rafaela Rubas scored in overtime after Leah DiGiandomenico tied the match with no time left in regulation, as American earned a 2-1 comeback victory over Bucknell in a Patriot League field hockey match on Saturday.
The Eagles improved to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in the Patriot League, while the Bison fell to 4-5 and 1-1.
Bucknell scored the first goal of the match with 17:30 left when Marisa Morakis converted a rebound off a shot by Anna Wills.
With no time remaining on the clock, the Eagles were awarded three penalty corners, and the third time was the charm when DiGiandomenico scored on a rebound off a Rubas shot.
In the 13th minute of overtime, Rubas batted a loose ball out of the air from close range for her fourth goal of the year and the game-winner.
AU held a 15-9 edge in shots and an 11-4 advantage in penalty corners.

Maura Jacobs had six saves, with Bucknell's Emily Finn finishing with seven.
The Eagles return home to Jacobs Field for a pair of non-conference matches next week, hosting Liberty on Thursday and Michigan State on Sunday.
