CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – American University field hockey player Jess Davis has been recognized as the Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. She was also selected as the GEICO AU Student-Athlete of the Week.

Davis helped lead the Eagles to a weekend sweep, as AU earned 4-3 victories over Holy Cross and Temple. She scored three goals, including both game-winners, while taking just three shots.

Against the Crusaders on Saturday, Davis's goal in the 55th minute gave American a 2-1 lead and sparked a three-goal run in less than two minutes.

Davis matched a career high with two goals in the win over Temple. She tallied the first score of the game just 1:30 into the contest and added a second goal in the 40th minute as the Eagles pulled ahead 3-1.
