WASHINGTON – Senior Paris Wood won a pair of individual events and swam on a winning relay for the Red Team, but the Blue Team used strong performances on the men's side to win the annual Red/Blue Alumni Meet as the American University swimming and diving teams competed for the first time on Saturday.
Wood won both the 50-yard freestyle (25.99) and the 50-yard backstroke (27.76), while anchoring a winning foursome in the 200 medley relay.
On the men's side, 2011 graduate Robert Feasley used a time adjustment to post first-place swims in the 50 free, the 100 free and the 50 fly, also participating on a winning 200 free relay.
The AU teams and alumni swimmers were split into intrasquad teams by the coaching staffs.
The meet served as an exhibition warmup for Friday's Potomac Relay Invitational at AU's Reeves Aquatics Center.
