WASHINGTON – Julian Wainer won three individual events to spark the American University men's swimming team to a 128-88 victory at Howard Friday in a double-dual meet with the Bison and Mount St. Mary's.
Wainer, an Eagle freshman, won the 1,000 free (10:09.10), 500 free (4:56.98) and 200 IM (2:03.53) to lead the performances by the men.
The marks by Korth, Callander and Jackson were the best so far this season by the Eagles in those events.
Korth, Jackson, Callander and
Ryan Richards also captured the 200 medley relay.
Cavano also won the 200 IM for the Eagles (2:14.62).
Fiona Caulfield won both diving events for the Eagles.
American split the women's duals, beating Howard and losing to Mount St. Mary's.
The Eagles return to action next Saturday in a quad meet at Navy with Bucknell and Lafayette.
