Jim Belfatto's 10th-place finish in the men's mile run Saturday highlighted American University performances this weekend at the Armory Track Invitational.
The Eagles also sent a contingent to the Patriot Games at George Mason University on Saturday, where a fifth-place finish by
Reagan Kolakowski in the women's mile accounted for AU's top individual finish.
Belfatto ran 4:14.25 in the Armory mile, cutting five seconds off his previous season-best. The freshman earned an IC4A-qualifying mark.
Alaeldin Tirba also had a season-best of 4:19.42.

Brianna Belo went 59.57 in the women's 400-meter dash to post a new school record for the third time this season.
Liam Purdy had an IC4A-qualifying mark with his run of 2:28.27 in the men's 1,000. He moved into eighth place all-time at AU indoors with his season-best time.
Kelseagh Budris went a career-best 3:04.89 in the women's 1,000, cutting her mark which already was 10th all-time at AU. In the women's mile on Saturday,
Corina Velazco ran 5:09.04, posting a season-best by three seconds and also moving into 10th all-tme.
At the Patriot Games, Kolakowski cut three seconds off her season-best in the women's mile, going 5:13.14 to place fifth.
Kinnari Badger lowered her school record in the women's 200 with a mark of 26.49. She had run 26.86 earlier this season.
Anisa Santiago ran 1:03.06 in the women's 400 to move into fifth all-time for the Eagles.
Liam May had a season-best mark of 1:59.04 to place seventh in the men's 800, while
Josh Ellis also got a seventh with a time of 4:24.12 in the men's mile.
American is expected to compete next Saturday in the Townsend Invitational at Maryland-Eastern Shore.
