JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Juniors
Kaden Kluth and
Carver Morgan completed their seasons in the NCAA First Round on Wednesday, May 28. Kluth finished 37th overall in the 1500 in 3:45.81. Morgan, who came in ranked 37th, ran 1:48.51 in the 800 to place 26th, just two spots short of advancing.
Both capped off historic seasons — setting several personal bests, improving their own top-five AU marks, earning Patriot League gold medals, and being the first Eagles to compete at the NCAA First Round since 2019.
"Unfortunately, the night didn't go the way we had hoped for the guys to advance to the finals," said head coach
Sean Graham. "Both Kaden and Carver competed well but fell a little short of making it to the next round. I couldn't be more proud of their achievements this year and the way they represented our program and university. Both set massive PRs, winning multiple conference championships, and competing in the first rounds of the national championships are impressive accomplishments to say the least — especially with the level of performance that those accomplishments require now. We're all hungry for more of course, but for now, we'll take a little break and celebrate what they achieved. It was a great year for them."
