After a few weeks off, the American University swimming & diving teams were back in action, traveling to Bucknell in a meet involving four Patriot League schools, with Lafayette and Navy also in action.

The Eagle women picked up a victory over Lafayette, 155-143, while the men were edged by a single point by the Leopards, 144, 143. Both men's & women's squads were topped by Bucknell and Navy.

Senior Bobby Ballance posted a seventh-place finish in the 100 back at 53.13, while junior Charlie Taffet added a sixth-place performance with a time of 59.60 in the 100 breast. Taffet also finished sixth in the 200 breast at 2:09.85.

Senior Matt Wurm placed sixth in the 200 back, touching the wall at 1:55.23.

Sophomore Paris Wood finished fifth in the 100 back with a time of 59.86, less than half a second behind the fourth-place finisher from Bucknell. Wood also added a sixth-place performance in the 50 free at 25.20. She also placed seventh in the 100 free with a time of 54.35.

Celeste Borras placed seventh in the 100 breast at 1:09.75.

Rookie Kaitie Kudlac added a sixth-place finish in the 200 fly, touching the wall in 2:12.13. Caylee Watson also posted a sixth-place finish, coming in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.62.

On the boards, Melissa Parker placed fifth in the one-meter with a score of 212.10 and a fourth place score of 229.85 on the three-meter board. 

The Eagles will be back in action in two weeks at the George Mason Invitational on November 21-23.
