Isaacs and Pelletier Each Break School Record on Day One of Patriot League Championships; Five Top 10 Times Set

The American University swimming and diving team broke two school records and set five all-time top 10 times on the first day of the Patriot League Championships on Thursday, which is taking place at Navy in Annapolis, Md. The Eagles' women's squad sits in fourth place through the first day while the men's squad is in sixth.

Dory Isaacs posted the best result of the day for AU, recording a third-place finish in the 200 IM in a time of 2:03.74. This is a new personal-best for Isaacs and sets a school record in the event. She bested her preliminary time of 2:04.95 by over a second in the finals.

Alexandra Wessel finished in sixth in the 500 free (4:59.82), while Leah Breen earned an eighth-place result in the 50 free (24.13). Breen's time is good for the third-fastest in program history in the event.

Eleanor Clay placed 14th in the 200 IM (2:08.82), which is the 10th-best time in school history. Diver Kelsey Monarch posted a 12th-place finish in the three-meter diving (188.80). Ballance began the race with a 56.73 second clip in the 100 back, which goes down as the second fastest time in the event in school history.
