WASHINGTON -
American University Men's Track All-American Dustin Emrani continues his season at the United States Track and Field Championships Thursday afternoon. Emrani is making his first trip to the national championships two weeks after becoming the 14th All-America runner under head coach Matt Centrowitz at the NCAA Championships.
Emrani is one of 32 800m runners in the country to qualify for the meet and will run in heat one of four Thursday at 5:05 p.m. in Indianapolis, Ind. The AU graduated senior will have to finish in the top-two in his heat or be one of the next eight finishes. Earlier this season, Emrani won the Patriot League Championships and the NCAA East Region before finishing 12th at the NCAA Championships.
The American University track family will also be represented by four-time All-America Sean O'Brien (AU '03). O'Brien, running for the Oregon Track Club, will be making his fifth-straight appearance in the 1500m.
