WASHINGTON – Senior Carver Morgan as named Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday (Jan. 20) after a winning performance at the Penn State Nittany Lion Challenge (Jan. 18).

Morgan won the 800 at Penn State by three seconds, leading wire-to-wire in a dominant early-season performance. His time of 1:48.82 was a personal best indoors and an AU indoor program record. The time ranks him second in the Patriot League and fourth in the NCAA.

Last year, Morgan swept the indoor and outdoor titles in the 800 meters. His outdoor title in a time of 1:47.91 was a Patriot League Championship record, and qualified him for the NCAA East First Round outdoors, where he finished 26th.
