Sophie Dufour logged her fourth double-double of the season.

- After a Loyola timeout, AU benefited from a service error and an attack error to take the set 26-24. Dufour had five kills, and Zeck followed with four in a resilient set from the Eagles.
- American carried momentum from the narrow first set victory to the second set, taking it 25-14 with little trouble. The Eagles went on a 9-1 run at the end of the frame, highlighted by four Hollas kills. They hit .567, compared to a .163 percentage in the first set.
