WASHINGTON – The American University men's basketball team released its 2025-26 Patriot League schedule on Wednesday, completing the team's 31-game slate for the upcoming season. The Eagles will host 17 regular season games in Bender Arena, including the nine Patriot League contests just announced along with a eight non-conference games which is the most in 50 years.
Coming off the program's fourth-ever Patriot League Championship and first in 11 years, head coach
Duane Simpkins returns for his third season with high expectations and is grateful to have so many games in front of the home crowd this year.
"We're proud of what we accomplished last season, but this is a new group, a new season, with new challenges," said Simpkins. "Having 17 home games—including some great non-conference matchups—is a huge opportunity for our fans to be part of this journey from the very beginning. We have an excellent group of guys training hard every day, and we're ready to build on our success and compete at the highest level."
American announced its 2025-26 non-conference schedule in August, which features the eight home contests along with trips to Wake Forest, GW, Rutgers, Virginia, and VCU.
