WASHINGTON – After capping off the cross country season in November, seniors
Carver Morgan and
Kaden Kluth will open the indoor track season at Boston University on Saturday (Dec. 6). The meet will be an early kickstart for the Eagles as they work toward the Patriot League Championships back at BU in February.
Both will race the 3,000 meters, which will begin at 1:40 p.m. Kluth will compete in the first section, and Morgan will compete in the second section.
MEET INFORMATION
Last spring, Morgan swept the indoor and outdoor Patriot League 800 meter titles. At the indoor championships, his time of 1:49.37 bettered his AU second all-time mark. At the outdoor championships, he led wire-to-wire and his PR of 1:47.91 was a meet record. He went on to qualify for the NCAA East First Round in the event, placing 26th.
Kluth took the Patriot League title in the 1500 meters last spring in a time of 3:49.60. He was the first Eagle to win the event since 2008. His personal best time of 3:40.31, which he set at the Virginia Challenge (Apr. 18), qualified him for the NCAA East First Round, where he placed 37th.
