BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Following another strong weekend for American University volleyball,
Sophie Dufour earned her eighth Patriot League Rookie of the Week award of the season.
In American's final match of the regular season against Lafayette, Dufour put down 11 kills on a .357 hitting percentage. She committed just one error and added four digs in AU's 3-0 sweep of Lafayette to move her team to 15-1 in Patriot League play to close out the season.
The freshman outside hitter has been sensational this year, leading the team in kills with 345 and averaging 3.83 per set.
The Eagles will await the lowest remaining seed after the first round of the Patriot League Tournament, hosting the semifinal round on Friday at Bender Arena. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
