WASHINGTON - In the final tune-up before the start of the 2025-26 season, American University men's basketball will make the short trip over to Howard University for a 7 p.m. exhibition game on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Tickets are available
HERE, and government workers get free admission with valid ID.
The Eagles, coming off a 22-13 season and the fourth Patriot League Championship in program history, have a young team ready to run with the momentum built by last year's squad. Fans will have a
record number of opportunities to see American in action at home, with 17 games slated to be played in Bender Arena.Â
After AU opens the season with a Nov. 3 contest at Wake Forest, the Eagles will host Penn in their home opener at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9. Prior to the start of the game, the 2025 Patriot League Championship banner will be unveiled. Fans can pick up a free Commemorative Edition game program, and the first 500 fans will receive a mini replica championship banner.
Howard is coming off a 12-20 season that saw the Bison eliminated in the MEAC Tournament quarterfinals by Morgan State. The Bison are just two seasons removed from a MEAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024.
