KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2023-24 NABC Division I All-District Teams and Coaches of the Year, as selected by NABC-member head coaches in NCAA Division I.
Matt Rogers was named to Second Team All-District 13 after an impressive senior season.
Rogers earned the 11th NABC All-District distinction by an AU men's basketball player. Most recently, Jamir Harris was named to Second Team All-District in the 2020-21 season.
The Maryland native upped his game in his senior season, leading the Eagles with 16.4 points per game (third in the Patriot League) and 6.2 rebounds per game (fifth in the Patriot League) to earn First-Team All-Patriot League honors this season. He was named Patriot League Player of the Week twice this season, and in January he became the 15th player in AU men's basketball history to score 1,000 points and record 500 rebounds. Rogers made 37 percent of his three-point attempts, scoring twice as many threes this season than his first three years at American combined. He was also named to the Patriot League's Academic All-League Team.
District 13 consists of all Patriot League and Ivy League institutions.
