- The Eagles controlled most of the play, settling into the Holy Cross half and knocking for their equalizer with 13 shots throughout the game.
- A hectic play in the Holy Cross box in the second half, with multiple blocked shots, saw the ball land on the foot of Boyle, who buried his chance to level the match in the 88th minute.
- A late shot by junior Sam Hershey was denied by the Holy Cross keeper with 30 seconds to play as the Eagles almost stole the game from the Crusaders.
