WASHINGTON - American University Athletics will hold a press conference at Bender Arena on Wednesday, April 5 at 11:00 a.m., to introduce Duane Simpkins as the head coach for the men's basketball team. 

The press conference is open to the public -- students, alumni, fans and friends of the program are all encouraged to attend the event on the Stafford "Pop" Cassell Court (Bender Arena, American University, 4400 Massachusetts Ave, Washington, D.C.). Doors will open at 10:30 a.m., and paid parking is available in the garages at the Katzen Arts Center and School of International Studies. 

Speaking alongside Simpkins will be American University President Sylvia Burwell, and Director of Athletics & Recreation Dr. Billy Walker.
