BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Matt Rogers was named to the Patriot League Preseason All-League team, the league announced Wednesday.
 
Rogers averaged 14.1 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, and 1.8 assists per game during the 2022-23 season. He led the team in scoring while holding a 61.3 field goal percentage, 40.8 three-point percentage and a 68.7 free throw percentage.
 
The Colgate men's basketball team claimed the top spot in the 2023-24 Patriot League preseason poll with 162 points and 18 first-place votes. American was picked to finish third in the poll, receiving 116 points.
 
American will start its 2023-24 campaign on Monday, Nov. 6 on the road at Villanova. The Eagles' home opener is set for Monday, Nov. 13 against Siena at 7 p.m.
