- The Bison had the first chance of the game to take the early lead off a corner kick, but the shot was blocked by the American defense to keep the game scoreless.
- American's first chance of the game came just a minute later, off a shot from senior Ethan Boyle, but his shot hit the post keeping the game scoreless.
- Bucknelll took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute off a penalty kick goal.
- 14 seconds later, it was Baer who found the back of the net for American to even the score.
- With six minutes to play in the first half, Bucknell took the lead once again to send the game into halftime leading 2-1.
- Hershey evened the score for the Eagles in the 55th minute to put the score at 2-2.
- With 20 minutes to play, Zouantcha's shot went into the back of the net to break the tie and put American in the lead for the first time in the game.
- Hershey looked as if he was going to net his second goal of the game in the 77th minute, but he was called offsides to keep the score at 3-2.
- The Bison netted their third goal of the game in the 84th minute to even the score, 3-3.
- The Eagles had one final opportunity to score the game-winner, but their final corner kick attempt came up short.
