WASHINGTON - For averaging 14.0 points per game and 5.5 assists per game in helping lead American University men's basketball to a 2-0 week, sophomore Elijah Stephens has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 14-20. 

Stephens scored 14 points in wins over both William & Mary and NJIT, shooting 47.6 percent from the field for the week and hitting 7-of-9 free throws (.778). He dished six assists in the home win over the Tribe, and five on the road at NJIT. Stephens also totaled three steals per contest and grabbed a total of eight rebounds.

Next up for the Eagles is a game at Georgetown (Capital One Arena) on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 11:30 a.m.
