- Freshman Andy Fallon (125) won his opening two bouts by a point each to advance to the semifinals where he faced his first loss to Kent State's Jake Ferri.
- Fallon took Michigan State's Julian Saldana to a second tiebreaker period before falling 2-1 in the consolation semis, but he rebounded with a 4-3 decision over Bucknell's Brandon Seidman to take fifth place overall.
- Redshirt junior Patrick Ryan (149) went 4-2 for the day which included a 2-1 win over teammate Jack Nies. Ryan narrowly lost 7-6 in the consolation semis to Bucknell's Kolby DePron but won decisively in the fifth-place match, 8-1 vs. Cade Balistrini of Bloomsburg.
- Going 3-2 for the day was redshirt junior Tim Fitzpatrick (165), with one of his losses being to ninth-ranked Zach Hartman of Bucknell, last year's sixth-place finisher at the NCAA Championships.
- Fitzpatrick then won back-to-back bouts to get to the consolation semis where he suffered a 6-5 loss to Michigan State's Caleb Fish. Fitzpatrick earned fifth place by way of a no contest decision against Navy's Val Park.
- AU's final fifth-place finisher was Colin Shannon (174), who started the day 2-0 to advance to the semifinals. After two losses, Shannon ended the day strong with a pin in 5:20 vs. Kent State's Michael Ferree for fifth place.
