2022-23 (RS Senior) - Served as a team co-captain for the second straight year... NWCA Scholar All-American... EIWA Academic Achievement Award recipient... Finished his career with nine technical falls to tie for sixth all-time at American... Went 8-16 for the season and 41-42 in his career... Went 2-2 at his third and final EIWA Championships... Earned one of the Eagles’ two wins vs. #8 Virginia Tech, taking down Kylan Montgomery 7-2 after trailing 2-0.

2021-22 (RS Junior) - Ranked second on the team with 36 takedowns and tied for second with 17 wins... Went 4-2 on his way to fifth place at the Navy Classic... Lost 7-6 in the consolation semis to Bucknell’s Kolby DePron but won decisively in the fifth-place match, 8-1 vs. Cade Balistrini of Bloomsburg... Lost his opening bout before running off five straight wins to place fifth at the Jonathan Kaloust Bearcat Open on Nov. 15... Was a team captain along with Tim Fitzpatrick and Will Jarrell... Earned an EIWA Academic Achievement Award and was named an NWCA Scholar All-American.... Earned the team's Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Award for 2021-22.

2020-21 (RS Sophomore) - Competed at his first EIWA Championships, the program's only meet due to a COVID-shortened season... Earned a podium finish of eighth place at 141 pounds... Recovered from a quarterfinal loss to get his first EIWA bout win in the consolation round, 7-2 over Binghamton's Dane Heberlein... Took his next consolation match to overtime before falling in sudden victory, and then placed eighth after a medical forfeit... Earned an EIWA Academic Achievement Award.

2019-20 (Redshirt) - Went 13-8 in his redshirt year with four wins by major decision... Highlight of the season was a third place finish at the Messiah Open on Feb. 8, going 5-1 including two major decisions and a pin... Captured another podium finish at the Franklin & Marshall Open in early January, going 3-1 to take fourth place.

2018-19 (Freshman) - Went 15-7 overall... Opened his collegiate career with a fifth-place finish at the East Stroudsburg Open, losing his first match before going on to win his other five of the day... Won the Bob Quade Open and the Messiah Open, going 3-0 in both at 141... Finished the season with a 2-1 mark at the National Collegiate Open.

Before AU - Wrestled at New Trier Township HS... Went 148-30 in his career, setting career records in victories and takedowns... Posted single-season record for wins, going 48-1 as a senior... Finished 3rd at the EHSA state championships as a senior... Also 37-7 as junior, 37-10 as sophomore and 27-12 as freshman... Three-time state qualifier... Two-time conference champion but voted all-conference four times... Four-time regional champ... Twice earned academic all-conference... 4th at NHSCA Senior Nationals in 2018... Also fourth at 2018 Journeymen Fall Classic.

Personal - Parents are Sarah and Charles Ryan... Father wrestled at Northern Illinois University... One of five children... Earned his bachelor's degree in justice and law in May, 2022 and will be working toward a master's degree... Volunteers at a food pantry... Playing sports as a kid he pretended to be Devin Hester...
