CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — American University women's soccer senior Audrey Denkler earned the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week award, the league office announced on Monday.

Denkler secured the award with three assists during the week that saw AU defeat Longwood (2-0) and UMBC (2-1). 

The Arlington, Va., native had an assist on the second goal of the game by classmate Yari Bradfield in the Longwood win and then found classmate Gabriela Maldonado and sophomore Toni Williams in the win over UMBC on Sunday.

Denkler leads American and is tied for the league lead in assists with four.

Bradfield was added to the honorable mentions group after scoring two goals against Longwood. 

American hosts Hampton on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
