Georgetown, GW Visit @AU_SwimDive on Senior Day

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A return to competition following a holiday layoff and a training trip meets Senior Day ceremonies on Saturday when American University plays host to crosstown rivals Georgetown and George Washington in a swimming and diving triangular at the Reeves Aquatic Center.

Diving events will begin at 9 a.m. at American, with the swimming events set to begin at 1 p.m. The five seniors that comprise the Eagles' Class of 2018 will be honored before the swimming events.

Liam Bond, Fiona Caulfield, Shannon Exley, Tori Haviland and Emma Shetter will be recognized for their years of dedication to the program.

American is back in competition for the first time since sending student-athletes to the ECAC Winter Championships in early December.

The Eagles returned from a week-long training trip to Sarasota, Fla., an excursion designed to kick-start their preparation for the four-week stretch before the Patriot League Championships.

American has also designed this event as a Very Important Professors Game, with Eagle student-athletes inviting faculty members to attend the meet.

Admission to all AU swimming and diving meets is free.
