The American University women's basketball team closes out the regular season on Wednesday, March 2, when it hosts Navy in a 7 p.m. contest.

American enters Wednesday's game with a 6-22 overall record and a 4-13 mark in the Patriot League after a 55-50 loss to Loyola Maryland on Saturday. Freshman forward Cecily Carl registered her second double-double of the season, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while junior Lauren Crisler added 13 points and six rebounds.

For the season, Crisler leads the Eagles with 9.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest, while senior Ari Booth adds 7.9 points per game. Meanwhile, sophomore Maria Liddane leads American in assists, averaging 4.1 per game, including a league-best 5.2 assists per game in PL contests only.

Navy currently owns a 15-13 overall record and 9-8 mark in the Patriot League. The Midshipmen are coming off a 64-52 road loss to Bucknell where they trailed 23-7 after one period. Junior Danielle Poblarp was Navy's leading scorer against the Bison, while freshman Molly Sanders added nine points.

For the season, junior Sarita Condie leads the Mids with 10.5 points per game, while sophomore Taylor Dunham adds 10.0 points per contest.
