The American University men's cross country team ran well
Saturday afternoon, placing third at the Colonial Inter-Regional
Challenge in Williamsburg, Va. Colin
Eustis was the Eagles top finisher in ninth place
while Jeff
Brannigan and Craig
Brown placed 11th and 16th,
respectively.
Eustis paced American with a time of 26:07.8 to place ninth. He
was followed by Brannigan in 11th place who finished in
26:10.7. Brown rounded out the Eagles top-20 finishers as he placed
16th in 26:27.9. Also scoring for American were Ryan
Williams (21st) and Mark
Leininger (25th).
American finished third overall in the team competition. The
Eagles trailed only Tennessee and #15 William & Mary but
defeated Norfolk State, Hampton, Howard, Longwood and Christopher
Newport.
Both the men's and women's teams will be back in action on
Saturday, Oct. 3, at the George Mason Invitational in Manassas, Va.
