Chelsa Brooks was American's other top scorer, connecting on seven attacks and recording a .700 percentage. Brooks stood out on the defensive side of the net as well, tallying two solo blocks and three block assists. Christina Nash's strong play at setter in Wednesday night's match continued on into Friday as the junior dished out 32 Eagle assists and was five for eight on the attack.

AU came out fast in game one and opened up a 10-4 lead in the match's early going. Four Eagles scored kills in the frame including Brooks, who led the team with four, and Sukaj, who finished with three. Brooks, Sukaj and Claire Recht each also teamed up to record two block assists a piece in game one.

The Middies best opportunity in the match came in game two when they found themselves tied with AU at 11. Three Sukaj kills in the game's next four plays helped American to a 15-11 lead though and the Eagles extended their advantage to 10 points, 21-11, before earning game point. Sukaj, Nash and Cassandra Ricketts each tallied four kills in game two and Nash put up a match high 12 assists.

Ann Recht entered the match in game three for the first time and quickly made her presence felt. The sophomore recorded three block assists in the game's first eight plays and helped AU to an 8-0 lead. American finished the match on a 12-6 run, earning match point at 30-16. The match's last point came fittingly when Nash found Sukaj for her sixth kill of the game.

The Eagles will take the rest of the weekend off and return to the court Wednesday, Oct. 31, when they host the New Jersey Institute of Technology at 7 p.m. The match will be the second to last home match of the season for AU, which has amassed a 13-1 record in Bender this year.
